Dr. Paul L. Hamilton...

Dr. Paul L. Hamilton is a lifelong educator, former Colorado State Representative, and renowned African art collector rooted in Denver. A proud native of Pueblo, he has spent decades championing education, social justice, and cultural awareness. From 1969 to 1973, he served Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood and later authored African Peoples’ Contributions to World Civilizations, a book that continues to shape classrooms across the country.

Today, his home doubles as a mini-museum—filled with an extraordinary collection of African art that honors the richness and global influence of African culture.

Here’s a short clip from our upcoming documentary, featuring the life and legacy of Dr. Paul L. Hamilton—collector, historian, and deeply cherished elder in our community.
